Installation
The installation is make through a single WSP file. To be easier, a config file is included to use with the
Sharepoint Solution Installer from CodePlex.
Just copy the executable, config file and wsp to your server and launch the setup.
Web Part Properties
The web part have several properties for the RSS Reader customization.
![]() | - Asynchronous Load : enabling this property allows to delay the feeds load. The big advantage is that the web part doesn´t stuck the all page if the connection with the feed´s source is slow or broken. The image that appears when loading is customizable via CSS.
- Auto Refresh Interval: this property sets an interval to auto reload the feeds from the web part. The number represents the interval between refresh in seconds, to disable it, just set the value to zero.
- Feeds: this property contains the list of feeds to display. Just put the url´s in the text box, separated by semicolons.
- Item view: this property indicates the way feed items are displayed. Using the TitleOnly value, only the title from each feed is displayed; the Expanded value displays the title and item body.
- Limit: this property is used to limit the number of displayed items. To display all avaible items from a feed, put zero on the property value.
- Orientation: the web part layout can be changed using this property. When choosing the Vertical orientation, the feeds are added from top to bottom; when using the Horizontal orientation the feeds are displayed from left to right.
- Show Publication Date: indicates if the publication date is displayed on each item.
- Show Feed Image: indicates if the feed image is displayed unlike the feed title. If the feed doesn´t have any image, the title is displayed by default.
- Css Url: almost every style on the web part are defined by the css file. To customize the web part just edit the css file or point to a custom file.

Web Part Interaction

- By clicking on the suspension point, all the available feed items are displayed.
- This button have the purpose of reloading the feed(s).
